let me linger

the thunder strike down
like a pain exploding within

filled with shock
the densed air was suffocating
i cant remember when it started to rain
it is still raining now..

the rain doesnt seem to show signs of stopping
it helplessly weeping

as the pour got heavier
the sense of inadequacy became clearer

harsh winds howled through this cold empty night

an empty void

i seriously dont know what would happen
when the rain finally stops
will i see light

and i ask myself what happens to the rest of the things

maybe being trapped in showers of misery
one will lose the courage to draw the curtains
to the other side of what may bring

dwelling sadness fills the evening sky
no stars to bring new hopes
only lingering shines that mock
at a pathetic soul beneath
